Your eyewear should make a statement about you; a fashion accessory that reflects your style, your personality and your uniqueness as an individual. It should also reflect the value you place on quality and your appreciation of superior design, materials and craftsmanship. We offer original eyewear designs that are available at very few places in the Midwest, and many of our eyewear designs are not available at any other location in Des Moines. We utilize the best eyeglass and contact lenses available, as well as employ the latest digital imaging and instrumentation, to ensure your vision is as clear as possible.
StylEyes is the realization of a vision by our optometrists, Dr. Heath Eckhart and Dr. Kristina Wittrock. These siblings grew up in Newton, Iowa. Both graduated from Indiana University’s highly esteemed optometry school.
After Dr. Wittrock graduated in 1995 and Dr. Eckhart graduated in 2001 they worked in separate practices in Michigan, Indiana, and Iowa. In 2008 they returned to Iowa to pursue their dream of designing and establishing StylEyes, where exceptional eye care and luxury eyewear combine in a practice like no other in central Iowa.
Dr. Eckhart is married to Resa and has twin daughters, Emma and Ella, who attend elementary school in Waukee. Heath enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, boating and jeeping in Utah and Colorado.
Dr. Wittrock is married to Eric and has a daughter Kathryn, at Indian Hills Junior High and a son Luke in elementary school at Des Moines Christian School. She enjoys activities with her family, boating at Lake Okoboji, and traveling to new places.
